  Modules offered for year 2018

1. How our Pastoral Interns Program works ?

The Pastoral Interns Program (PIP) offers both Diploma and Bachelor of Ministry courses. The course is a combination of lectures, assignments and practical work. To gain credits, the students must complete the following:-

  • Attend lectures, sit and pass an examination for that module.
  • Complete reading assignments and elective texts.
  • Complete practicum supervised by a mentor

When a student accumulates sufficient credits by completing these modules, he will be awarded the Diploma/Degree of ministry. A student will take approximately 3 years for the Diploma and 4½ years for the Bachelor of Ministry.

c) Lecturers

i) Dr Isaac Yim

He was the Chairman of Malaysia Baptist Convention, Director of Chinese Baptist Press (International) Limited, Director of Chinese Oversea Christian Mission Bhd, Malaysia, Director of Holistic Integrated Services Bhd. Isaac also holds an honorary award, Doctor of Divinity from Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary. He formerly served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Petaling Jaya from 1995-2001. He started Friend of Pastors International in 2002 and has been serving pastors in different countries till now.

 

ii) Rev Dennis Balcombe

Dennis Balcombe received Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour in 1961. He received the call of God on his life at a young age and at the age of 24, traveled to China. He has lived in Hong Kong for the past 47 years. God has greatly used him to bless and strengthen the Chinese church; a church that now has well over one hundred million believers. He speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. He continues to minister to the Chinese and many others throughout Asia and the world. As the founder of Revival Chinese Ministries International, he is a sought after speaker globally. Dennis lives with his wife Kathy in Hong Kong. They have two children, Sharon and Michael and two grandchildren.

 

iii) Rev Yang Yong Ming

Pastor Yung-Ming Yang currently serves as the Senior Pastor at Torch Covenant Church in Taipei, Taiwan. He has striven to build a strong, glorious and healthy church. He desires his congregation to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to become passionate, confident, extraordinary and loving children of God. He often expresses the practicality of the Christian faith. He has a vision of leading the congregation to become a modern church.

 

iv) Rev Paul Huang

Rev Paul Huang, a Taiwanese mechanical engineer and a theological masters degree holder, together with his wife, Cindy, previously a university lecturer, journeyed through an exciting 27 years of pastoring and church-planting experiences both locally in Taiwan and overseas in Malaysia. They were called to Malaysia since 1996 and have been actively involved in their calling of the "Back to Jerusalem" movement through church-planting and raising more workers for the Lord. Their desire is to see many strong Christians being equipped and vast frontier missionaries being raised and reaching out to the lost along the Spice Road. Paul always operates various spiritual gifts as he delivers the Word of God. He started Tung Ling Seminary Malaysia Mandarin sector in 2005 which has continued to grow and bless many churches. Paul and Cindy have four wonderful children who serve the Lord fervently alongside with their parents.
