A Personal Encounter

SOM is a place of encounter with God. Here, you will be prepared to take possession of your inheritance.

You will gain a fresh understanding of God’s character and a renewed sense of wholehearted dedication to His service.

By the grace of God, you will be more firmly established in your identity in Christ and be poised, at the end of the program, to take hold of your calling with greater strength.

Ministerial Equipping

SOM provides students the opportunity to seek spiritual refreshing and discover God’s will and purposes for their lives.

The course also helps church workers to be trained and equipped in their ministry. Courses are taught by anointed lecturers of international repute, and comprise topics that cover many facets of Christian living and ministry.

Life-Changing Experience    

In light of eternity, 12-22 weeks is insignificant. However, in light of our present priorities and responsibilities, this investment of time may seem insurmountable.

However, consider  this – while what we do is very important, who we are in Christ will determine the success of anything we hope to do.

What can be accomplished in 12-22 weeks? God can touch you! And this will change your life!

Hence, consider investing this time to pursue, not a career, but the Lord Himself. And refresh yourself in things that will last.

Students are groomed in ministry development and will be given a privilege to serve in their church.

Our lecturers are from the USA, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and various states in Malaysia.

Students receive a Certificate of Ministry upon successful completion of the course.

After this, the student may consider  enrolling for a Diploma of Ministry (DOM) or a Degree of Ministry (BOM)

More than just studies

Besides attending lectures, students will be involved in sharing devotions, leading worship, daily prayer, fasting, journaling, participating in outreaches and recreation.

Many have developed life long friendships from studying together at the School of Ministry.

The modules offered form a holistic Christian study.

1. Spiritual Life Formation

How character is formed and its connection with our cognitive and emotional faculties and the workings in the inner heart of man.

2. Bible Discovery 

A study of selected Old and New Testament books to provide a glimpse into the culture, customs and background of the biblical context.

To provide students with an understanding of church history and Christianity in the New Testament period.

3. Leadership Skills

A study of the biblical principles of godly leadership and to understand the skills required to lead and shepherd God’s people.

4. Ministry Skills Development Understanding spiritual development and intimacy with God

5. Basic art of communitation 

A study of Personality types, Leadership, Music and Worship, and Homiletics

Upon completion of all modules, students will be awarded XXX credits.

SOM is modularly structured to fit a busy schedule. Students may opt for onsite or online classes.

The onsite day program is held in the Subang Jaya premises for 12 weeks (3 months).

The online program is via Zoom for 11 weeks per year over 2 years (total 22 weeks).

Part-time or Full-time Student

Students may enroll on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on their employment status.

Part-time students only attend lectures.

Full-time students supplement class lectures with spiritual disciplines, academic work, social activities and recreation scheduled by the School of Ministry.
