Diploma & Bachelor of Ministry (DBOM)

About
Our Diploma of Ministry (DOM) and Bachelor of Ministry (BOM) have a unique and flexible structure. The modules are a combination of lectures, assignments and practical work. To gain credits, the students must:
- Attend lectures, sit and pass an examination for that module.
- Complete 2 written assignments of 3000 words per module
- Complete practicum supervised by a mentor
This program is suitable for (but not limited to) students who have completed the Certificate of Ministry from the School of Ministry offered by Tung Ling Seminary.
Candidates with equivalent certificate requirements may also apply and be considered for credit transfers.
Objectives
These modules help the student gain a deeper knowledge of the Word of God as well as develop practical skills that will equip them for life and ministry.
The lecturers are experts in their respective field of study with years of experience to back their credentials.
Unique Course Features
DOM/BOM is tailored to allow full-time workers in ministry to attend the course whilst working. For example, a pastor from another town can attend the course while still pastoring his church.
DOM/BOM is also suitable for people with secular jobs as they can attend the night classes 4 weeks per year. They can also take 1-2 weeks leave to attend the day classes.
Philosophy & Methodology
It is our belief that the best method of training and releasing men and women into the harvest field is to combine sound theological teaching with on-the-job training in an environment where they are mentored simultaneously.
It is a prerequisite that a suitable mentor be identified.
At Tung Ling:
- We mentor and take time to share life experiences, one-on-one and not just impart knowledge
- We recognize the importance of real-life ministry, hands-on training, and the development of people to be effective leaders in their communities
- We help each student cultivate their unique giftings to the fullest
